Readers' Digest REFLECTION

I Hunted Down the Woman who Stole my Life (May edition)

This story is about how Karen Lodrick manages to chase and finally captures the criminal, who had stolen her identity card and tried to sponge off her bank account, after having her life turned upside down by the woman.

About five months ago, Karen's identity card had been stolen and the culprit started using her ID to take out the money in Karen's bank account and she even manages to crack into Karen's newly opened account and drained all of her savings in that new account, despite Karen's efforts to close the old accounts which the woman was draining her hard-earned money from.

That was the reason as to why Karen was so dertermined to chase down the woman who was wearing the same brown suede coat as the lady who she had seen using her ID in the bank surveillance tape. She was not about to let go of a chance to be able to escape the cycle of a livng hell with almost no money or saving for "rainy" days, despite the possible dangers of the lady regconising her as the real Karen and might attempt to do something to hurt her if she were to realise that Karen was following her. Well, her efforts paid off as after nearly losing the woman for about twice, Karen was finally able to catch up to her and the police whom she called along the way to help her catch the culprit, who turned out to be an identity thief known as Maria Nelson.

I feel that Karen really was an extremely strong-willed women as she ignored the possible dangers and was really dertermined to catch the woman who had stolen her identity card in order for her to try and return back to her previous peaceful life before her ID was stolen. Although the culprit has been captured, i think that Karen's troubles are more than over for her. As Maria might have used her credits cards or other items bought using her name and IC number, Karen's bills might still be continuing for quite some time. Either way, the dertermined attitude of Karen's is rather applicable in whatever aspect of life's obstacles we are currently undergoing or trying to overome.

I'm sure that being dertermined in whatever we do will definately bring us good results. For instance, during our major exams in school, being dertermined to do well for all the papers of the exams will certainly allows us to concentrate better when we were studying and preparing for the exam. In conclusion, i appluad the "Never say Die" attitude of Karen who had not given up despite having most of her savings in her bank accounts stolen, and i hope to be able to adopt the same attitude she has towards my own studies and whatever obatacles that faces me ahead in life.
